The bursary will provide for the following expenses: Tuition fees, Textbooks, a Monthly stipend and Accommodation. The bursary is only available from the second year of study (i.e. studying for the second or third year in 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The BASF South Africa Trust Bursary Requirements and Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying. (Please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to the application not being considered):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Black female student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registered to study in one of the aforementioned fields of study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From a financially disadvantaged background (meet NFSAS funding requirements)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a strong academic record<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Studying at a recognized University and University of Technology in South Africa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants should have no criminal record in any country<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Except NSFAS funding, applicants should not have received another scholarship, bursary, grant, etc for the 2025 academic year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to Apply and Application Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please ensure all required documents are submitted to be eligible for a bursary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 A CV (max 3 pages)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 A 2-page essay (Microsoft Word\/PDF format; 12pt font with 1.5 line spacing) you have written on: \u201che current and future state of my field of study, how will contribute when I graduate, and why I should receive financial support to study in this field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following additional certified documents are required:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u27a2 Matric results and certified academic record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u27a2 Certified ID document<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u27a2 Parent\/guardian proof of income (pay slip, audited financial statements, sworn affidavit for self-employed or unemployed parent\/guardian)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To support the advancement of women in science, the BASF South Africa Trust offers full cost bursaries to black female South Africans (in terms of the BBBEE codes \u2013 See below ) who are financially disadvantaged and who have, strong academic records.
